Below are competition fixtures for All sections

This week's competitions are an 18 hole Stableford and a concurrent 9 hole stableford competition.

Playing handicap (strokes received) = 95% of course handicap

Please sign into the comp via how did I do or at the proshop. Ensure your card has been completed correctly (Name, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap and signatures of player & marker). Then enter scores online and place scorecard into the Ladies letterbox.

Singles Stableford YELLOW Tees 95% Handicap (Q)

This Competition will be in 2 Divisions
Division 1        0 - 16   playing handicap
Division 2             17+ playing handicap

This is a qualifying competition for handicap purposes.

Please book your tee time via BRS normally for Thursday.

Obtain your scorecard from the Pro shop and sign in to the competition on the How Did I Do system before you tee off

This will enter you into the comp and deduct the entry fee from your competition purse. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your purse. 

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard and exchange it with a partner for scoring purposes. Check your card and score at the end of the round, ensuring the Player and Scorer sign it.

Enter your score electronically into the How Did I Do system 

Place the signed scorecard into the SENIORS letter box in the Players Lounge in the Club House

Greensomes Medal, men playing from the Yellow Winter tees, Ladies playing from the Red Winter tees.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 40% of the higher Winter Course Handicap plus 60% of the lower Winter Course Handicap.

Any countback will initially be determined by exact team handicap allowance. Each individual handicap allowance is calculated to 1 decimal place and added together before rounding the total to 1 decimal place.

Each player in a group tees off as normal and the best tee shot is then selected and alternate shot is played until the completion of the hole.

Countback will initially be determined using the team handicap limit calculated to 1 decimal place. If this does not produce a result then the usual back 9, back 6, back 3...etc will be used.

Sign in via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition.

ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round and then post your completed and signed card in the Comps box.

For any Ladies not able to play this coming Tuesday, scores may be entered as an Alternate Day card this Saturday. (See this coming Tuesday's fixture for details of this competition). There are no set times for the alternate day, the competition may be played at any time by signing up on BRS. The scorecard must be marked by another fully paid up member of BFGC, Lady or Gentleman. The marker doesn't need to be playing in the competition.

A Lady can't compete twice in the same competition by entering an alternate day card and a Tuesday card. The alternate day competition will be closed and then merged with results on the following Tuesday to determine prizes.

Mats Everywhere, except on teeing area where a driver is used.  Mats may not be used in penalty areas or when using a putter.

Am-Am stableford, with the best two scores to count on each hole.  Men will play off the yellow winter tees and ladies off red winter tees.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 85% of Winter Course Handicap, subject to a maximum Handicap index of 31.2 for men and 39.8 for ladies.  Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.

As a team competition this is a Non-Qualifier for handicap purposes.

Sign in online or via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition.

ENTER SCORES ONLINE or via the clubhouse terminals (by 8pm latest) on completion of your round and then post your completed and signed card in the Men’s/Mixed Comps post box.

This week's competition is a 14 hole AM-AM. Teams of 4, best 2 Stableford scores to count on each hole

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 85% of course handicap

Sign in to the comp via how did I do or at the proshop - for charging for competition only. Ensure your card has been completed correctly (names, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap for each player and signatures of player & marker). Score entry in the computer is not required, just place scorecard into the Ladies letterbox

There will a concurrent 9 hole stableford available for Ladies not playing 14 holes (usual rules apply)

The Golf Competition will be followed by the Presentation of this year's Prizes

The Seniors Annual Review Meeting will follow this.

We would ask ALL seniors to remain and take part in this meeting

There will be no earlier starts on that day. This way we can have a full clubhouse for the Presentations.

Both players drive and then play their partner's ball before deciding which ball to play. 
The player, whose ball was not selected, then plays the third shot, and thereafter alternate shots are played until the hole is finished.

Both players tee off then play a shot using partners ball. Select the best 2nd shot then play alternate shots.  

Countback will initially be determined using the team handicap limit calculated to 1 decimal place. If this does not produce a result then the usual back 9, back 6, back 3...etc will be used.

Sign in via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition. ClubV1 will automatically calculate your pair's 18 hole Playing Handicap (which is 60% of lowest Course Handicap plus 40% of highest Course Handicap - subject to an adjustment for ladies to reflect the higher course rating from ladies red tees - i.e. complicated!). Course handicap index limit applied. 31.2  for men and 39.8 for ladies. Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.
